History and Member Recognition
There are records of ASCE members residing in Nebraska as early as 1890. The Nebraska Section was Organized in 1917, after a small group of National ASCE members decided to apply for a charter to begin a local organization. Since that time, the Section has grown and developed with our state and with the civil engineering profession. Today, NE-ASCE has over 600 members who continue to strive to improve the quality of life for Nebraskans.
