2006-2007 Events
End of Year BBQ at Zorinsky Lake
Since the end of the year (for ASCE events, anyway) is rapidly approaching, we have decided to have a barbecue for our final activity until next October. The barbecue will be held Friday, June 1 at 5:30, at Zorinksy Lake (please see flyer and map). If you plan to attend, please RSVP with the number of guests by May 29th, so we have an idea of how much food to buy.
Toy Drive and Social
When: December 1, 2006 @ 5:30 pm.

FAT (Friday After Test)
The weekend of October 27-28 is the date for undergrads and engineers with 4 years of experience to take their FE and PE exams. The exams are a demanding 8 hours of Engineering and Civil Engineering specific questions. To help ease our younger engineers of the stressful situation, the ASCE YMG is sponsoring a FAT (Friday after Test) Friday on October 27th starting at 5:30 at the Brazen Head Irish Pub at 319 North 78th Street, Omaha, Nebraska. If you have just taken the PE, are about to take it and have questions or took it a long time ago, come out and join the ASCE YMG on Friday to release some tension. YM Social / Networking
When: March 31, 2006 - around 5 pm
Where: Indigo Joe's - 7425 Dodge Street (across from Crossroads near Stereo West and Pier One)
Indigo Joe's is a smoke-free sports-themed pub and restaurant.
Why: To meet other YMs, wind down after work, talk to people whose eyes don't glaze over when you say "I'm an engineer," and eat free food (the YMG will be buying munchies).
Spouses, friends, co-workers, and the young at heart are also welcome.

Social / Picnic with the UNL Student Chapter
When: Sunday, April 23, 2006 - 3 pm
Where: Oak Lake Park in Lincoln (just southeast of I-180 and Cornhusker Highway - see the map)
Why: To relax, eat, and meet some future engineers who are anxious to hear what the real world is like!
Spouses, friends, co-workers, and the young at heart are also welcome!
